Why do I need to register?

When you register on the site we can keep in touch with you to provide information on how your ideas have been used, and to let you know about future opportunities to get involved. By providing some basic information about yourself you are also helping us to better understand the feedback we get from the community.

How do I reset my password?

To reset your password, go to the ‘Sign In’ site. Below the ‘Register’ button you will see a link that says ‘Forgot your password?’ Click on this link, and then enter your registered email address. You will receive a computer generated password to your email, which you can change once you login to the website. 

Why can’t I just use the log on for My Water?

The Tap In program is using a specialist community engagement website, which is not part of Water Corporations’ website nor connected to your water account.

What about my privacy?

The Water Corporation is collecting your personal information to assist us in providing our services to you - as set out in the Water Corporation’s Privacy Policy. We may disclose your personal information to our third party service providers who help us manage and operate certain parts of our business such as customer communications. Some of these service providers are located in countries such as the United States. Our Privacy Policy explains how you can seek access to or correct any personal information, how to complain about a privacy breach and how we will deal with a privacy complaint.

Who will see the registration information I provide?

Your screen name is the only registration information that can be seen by others.

Who will see my forum posts?

The information you share is public and available to everyone. Please be mindful when sharing personal information. 

How are comments moderated?

Moderators will not alter or edit forum comments. Forum comments will only be removed if they are deemed to be significantly off topic, offensive or malicious – as outlined in the Forum Etiquette and Moderation Guidelines. Users will be notified if their comments are removed. 

I am unable to access a survey or project. What can I do?

There is a ‘Projects’ tab in the menu at the top of the homepage. Click on the Projects tab to view the list, then select the project that you wish to view.

I don’t really like using the internet, will I lose out on having my say?

Absolutely not! The Yoursay site provides Water Corporation with an exciting new way to engage with the Western Australian community online. It is used to complement but not replace traditional engagement activities.

What is Tap In?

Tap In is an extensive research and community engagement program. It will help us identify what is important to our customers and Western Australians, and help to shape WA’s water future. There are two parts - a formal research component and the community engagement program through the Tap In website.

Why are we doing it?

We continually engage with our customers to find out what’s important and how well we’re delivering our services to them. Through the Tap In program, we’re focussed on collecting a wide range of information from metro and regional areas in WA and everything is on the table.

The insights you provide, along with the results of our formal research will help us to make decisions that are aligned with what our customers want. 

Can’t I just tell you what I think?

This Tap In website is the best place to tell us what you think, where your feedback will be reviewed by our team of analysts, so best to do it here. Make your say count!

What’s in it for me?

Tap In is an opportunity for you to tell us what's important to you when it comes to WA's water. Your contribution, along with others, will help shape the future planning for WA water.

How can I get involved?

At this moment, you can register on the site and leave your comment. Simply tell us what’s important to you in the Tell Us question box. We’ll then get back to you to let you know what others are thinking too.

In future there will be other ways to get involved and once you register, we will send you updates to let you know.

What will happen with the information, comments and opinions submitted to the website?

This information will be reviewed by our team of analysts, and together with data from the research component of the program, will help us pinpoint areas that you believe are important and what services we could improve.

We will report back to you with what you’ve told us, and then progress to the next stage of the Tap In program.

Where will I see the results?

The results will be published on this website. Registered participants will also receive email updates when results become available. 

What is the research program part?

Water Corporation has engaged a third party to undertake formal research. This will be complemented by responses from the website during the four phases of online engagement and provide a good cross section of information.

Doesn't Water Corporation already have a number of surveys and online engagement to analyse customer feedback?

We continually engage with our customers to find out what their thoughts are. We do this through a number of ways with formal research but with Tap In, we're asking the whole community to participate through the website.

Hasn't Water Corporation done this before?

In the past, Water Corporation has carried out research and community engagement programs that have focused on different areas (such as Water Forever which focused on water sources) The Tap In program is state-wide and more comprehensive.

How long does the program run for?

Tap In will run into 2018 and will include both metro and regional customer engagement. It is a multi-stage program with several key periods where we engage with our customers and Western Australians, and listen to what you have to say on areas that you’ve highlighted.
