Reinstatement underway

Now the construction is complete, the contractor is coordinating reinstatement of the area.

Here is a brief update of the actions planned and in progress:

• Limestone wall works underway, one last wall to be completed at Ritchie Drive.
• Concrete footpaths to be completed by mid-February.
• The area from Ritchie Drive to Bay View Street has several access chambers. The reinstatement will involve landscaping to reduce the visibility and avoid any trip hazards.
• Trees and other planting to commence mid to late February.
• The lawn around the basketball courts at Broughton Way Reserve is being restored.
• Laying of the lawn along Lake Street commenced the week beginning 25 January. This should take around three weeks and be completed by mid-February.
• Temporary irrigation, fencing and new lawn is been installed along Lake Street, near Lake Richmond. Once the planting is complete fencing will stay up until the lawn has been irrigated for six weeks. This is an agreed approach with the City of Rockingham to allow the lawn time to establish.

All reinstatement work should be completed by the end of March 2021.
