Upcoming night work and intersection closure - 26 October

21 Oct 2020

Marine Terrace and Collie Street, Monday 26 October 7pm - 5am

Thank you for your patience and understanding as essential construction work in Fremantle progresses to renew ageing water pipes and help secure the area’s water supply for decades to come.

What is happening?

As part of construction work to install new pipes, DM Civil on behalf of Water Corporation is required to carry out night work at the intersection of Marine Terrace and Collie Street.

This work will result in the full closure of the Marine Terrace and Collie Street intersection. Marine Terrace from Henry Street to Essex Street will also be partially closed allowing for single lane traffic flowing in both directions through traffic controllers on site.

When is this happening?

Night work will take place at the intersection of Marine Terrace and Collie Street from 7pm Monday 26 October to 5am Tuesday 27 October.

During this work, the Marine Terrace and Collie Street intersection will be fully closed and Marine Terrace from Essex Street to Henry Street partially closed. For more details, please view the traffic flow map overleaf.

Construction work on Marine Terrace is still on schedule for completion at the end of November 2020.

How will this impact me?

During the full intersection and partial road closure traffic management will be in place.

After 5am Tuesday 27 October, traffic management will revert back to the normal daytime traffic management.

However, the southbound lane of the Collie Street and Marine terrace intersection will remain closed until 5pm Tuesday 27 October while asphalt is laid.

Water supply will not be impacted.

We understand this essential work will impact nearby residents and businesses and apologise for the disruption. We will work closely with you to minimise disruption as much as possible.
