Traffic light signal change – Norfolk Street local traffic only
South Terrace, Norfolk and Parry streets intersection change
Monday 19 October to mid-November
Thank you for your patience and understanding as essential construction work in Fremantle progresses to renew ageing water pipes and help secure the area’s water supply for decades to come.
What is happening?
As pipe renewal construction work progresses on Norfolk Street traffic light signals at the South Terrace, Norfolk Street and Parry Street intersection will need to change. The traffic signal change is required to prevent non-local traffic entering Norfolk Street while construction work progresses.
This change allows for Norfolk Street to remain open to local traffic only.
When is this happening?
Traffic light signal changes at the South Terrace, Norfolk Street and Parry Street intersection will be in place 24/7 from 7am Monday 19 October to mid-November.
We will keep you informed as to when exactly the traffic signal will revert back to normal.
How will this impact me?
The change will stop traffic turning left off South Terrace onto Norfolk Street or going straight through from Parry Street. The Parry Street lights will also become left turn only.
Entry onto Norfolk Street will be from Norfolk Lane with the westbound lane of Norfolk Street to remain open to allow one-way traffic.
Local and delivery access will be maintained and footpaths and driveways will not be impacted. Please speak to traffic controllers onsite if clarity is required. For more information, please view the traffic flow map overleaf.
We understand this essential work will impact nearby residents and businesses and apologise for the disruption. We will work closely with you to minimise disruption as much as possible.
