Project update - 6 November 2020

06 Nov 2020

Cliff & Mouat intersections at Marine Terrace: intermittently closed

Entrance onto Marine Terrace from Collie Street: partially closed

Norfolk Street: full closure

Thank you for your patience and understanding as essential construction work in Fremantle progresses to upgrade the stormwater drainage network and renew ageing water pipes.

What is happening?

Fremantle Drainage:

The partial closure along Phillimore Street has lifted with the road now fully reopen to traffic.

Please be advised, preliminary investigation work planned to take place in mid-November along Cliff Street within Fremantle Port Authority will be rescheduled to a later stage – we will continue to keep you posted.

Pipes for Fremantle:

Construction work on the last two streets is progressing. Work on Norfolk Street is expected to be completed and the road fully reopened by 5pm Friday 13 November and on Marine Terrace by late November. As part of this decommissioning, connection and reinstatement work, further road and intersection closures are required.

Water Corporation is working with the City of Fremantle to finalise specifications and timing for the full reinstatement of High Street currently scheduled to take place in late November. If this timing is deemed not feasible the work will be rescheduled to a later stage – we will continue to keep you updated.

How will this impact me?
