Upcoming traffic impact - Nairn Street

15 Oct 2020

Nairn Street partial road closure near Pakenham Street

7am Monday 19 October to 5pm Tuesday 20 October

Thank you for your patience and understanding as essential construction work in Fremantle progresses to renew ageing water pipes and help secure the area’s water supply for decades to come.

What is happening?

As part of the final decommissioning work, DM Civil on behalf of Water Corporation is required to close a small section of Nairn Street near the Pakenham Street intersection.

When is this happening?

Around 15 metres of road along Nairn Street, near the Pakenham Street and Nairn Street intersection, will be closed from 7am Monday 19 October to 5pm Tuesday 20 October.

This work marks the end of pipe renewal work on Nairn Street.

How will this impact me?

During decommissioning work, construction fencing will be erected around the small work area near the Pakenham Street and Nairn Street intersection.

This means access onto Nairn Street from Pakenham Street will be closed with entry to Nairn Street via Collie Street only.

However, local traffic can exit driveways to either Pakenham or Collie Street. For more information, view the traffic flow map overleaf.

Traffic management will be in place and access to footpaths will be maintained.

We understand this essential work is impactful and apologise for the disruption. We will work closely with you to minimise disruption as much as possible.
